The Advent Story
For the season of Advent our altar is dressed in purple.

On the 24th of December at 11.15pm we sing carols by candle light in our church.  At 11.30pm we begin our midnight mass.  We start with the lighting of the last candle in the advent wreath, the white candle, the Christ Candle.
 .
At 12.01am, as the sermon finishes, it is Christmas Day.  We ring the church bells and the baby Jesus is placed into the nativity scene.  Our service continues with prayers and communion.
 .
Our service concludes around 12.35am, we meet in our lounge for a time of fellowship, Christmas cake, a glass of port, tea and coffee.

 .
Christmas Day 9.30am, a family service of celebration and Eucharist.
Morning tea to follow.
