Baptisms-Weddings-Funerals
The Church community is a place where we celebrate all aspects of our lives with one another, and especially all of the milestones events in our lives. When someone joins the Church family in baptism, when we become united in holy matrimony, and when we say goodbye to our loved ones and celebrate their lives. Even if you are not a regular Church attender at the moment, we would be privileged to help as you celebrate these milestones. Baptisms When a person is baptised, that person is brought to Jesus Christ and becomes a part of the Church, and part of the Christian family. It is a new start to life, where we commit ourselves to following Christ and being His representative in the world. Traditionally in the Anglican Church infant baptism is the most common, however anyone can be baptised at any age. It is also not uncommon for a new born baby to be baptised if medical situation arises and there is a risk of the baby dying. In this emergency we will met you on your ground. If you have a child who you would like to be baptised, or if you are exploring your own faith and would like to talk about Baptism, please contact us to talk about it. Weddings A wedding is one of life's great moments, a time for good wishes, feasting and joy. St John tells us how Jesus shared in such an occasion, and there a sign of new beginnings. This day is a new beginning for the couple, and for their family and friends. Holy Trinity has a beautiful, yet simple interior, which we hope will make the day memorable. We also have a hall available for you to continue your celebrations, which may be suitable for smaller weddings. Please talk to us about this possibility. Whether you choose a traditional wedding service from the prayer book, or would like to add your own personal creativity and input to the service, we will happily work with you to make your day special. As the weddings are in an Anglican church, they will celebrate God's blessing upon the couple, and the Church's blessing and prayers for their continued happiness and mutual support. Funerals The funeral service is an opportunity for family and loved ones to acknowledge that someone has died and say goodbye. It is also a time to express our love for the departed, and to remember how much we value the live we have shared with them. Christians have always believed that there is hope in death as in life, and that there is renewed life, in Christ, after death, and the funeral also offers the family and loved ones support and consolation. For those wishing to say goodbye to their loved ones in a sanctuary of peace, Holy Trinity can offer that very special setting. Together with you and your funeral director, we tailor a service to for fill the wishes of you and your loved ones. The church hall is also available for that after service fellowship. |
